The first baby in five years to be born at the Guthrie County Hospital took place under emergency conditions, Drs. Bascom and Ahrens stopped delivering five years ago, but Bascom made an

exception due to the emergency. The parents were employed by the firm proving midway amusements at the county fair.

Tiger Tyke preschool began September 5.

Ray Forsythe was named executive director of the West Central I-80 Development Corporation, succeeding Rick Allely, who resigned.
