Kathryn Lee Dever, age 68, of Knoville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord and Savior Sunday, October 1st, 2018.

Kathy was born August 6, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to parents Leland and Marjory Gilmore of Linden, Iowa. She graduated from Panora-Linden High School in 1968.

She attended Iowa School of Beauty, and worked until she married John Dever from Olney, Illinois, on July 7, 1973.

She found her love of traveling with her Navy husband and two sons. Her travels took her all over the world.

After workin as a full-time mother, she worked as a travel coordinator. Upon retirement she went through the Master Gardener program at the University of Tennessee. When not volunteering or gardening she could be found cheering on the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball and theVols football teams.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Linden.

Survivors include her husband John Dever of Knoxville, TN, son Brent Dever of San Marcos, TX, and son Nathan and Rachael Dever and granddaughter Clare of Nashville, TN, sisters Linda Richey of Panora and Carolyn VanPelt of Humboldt, brother Lee Gilmore of High Point, North Carolina, nephews Douglas Van-Pelt of Humboldt, Bryan and Kevin Richey of Panora, neices Laura VanPelt of Humboldt and Jennifer Hochstetler of Dexter, cousins Diane Pettit of Gilbert, AZ, Dennis Ackley of San Diego, CA., Mark Herrold of Chandler AZ, and Laura Stare of Minneapolis, MN, also great nephews and neices Spencer, Levi, Olivia, Grace, Merideth, Sarah, Maddelyn, Laicey, Avery, Owen, Mason and Peyton.
