The AC/GC Large Group Speech Team is 52-members strong this season. The school will take eleven groups to District Contest this Saturday, Jan 19., at Perry High School. Teams will be performing in the following categories:

One Act:“Surviving Lunch”

Choral Reading: “Dribble, Dribble, Shoot, Shoot”

This season, the team welcomed Coaches Staci Penton & Colin Shawgo to its Speech family. Staci took charge of Readers Theatre & Colin lead all the Improv groups and Radio News. “I truly don’t know what I would have done without these two,” said speech and drama director Kelsey Moran. “They jumped in & have been wonderful assets to our department.” The team has 18 brand-new-to-Speech students this year, as well as have several multi-sport (12+ current in-season varsity athletes) students and multi-extracurricular participants involved in Large Group. The team prides itself in being a well-rounded department full of really talented kids, Moran said.
